Boo Boo Scandal turns worse...

‘Honey Boo Boo’ family turning on each other as scandal intensifies

As lurid details continue to emerge about June “Mama June” Shannon’s alleged relationship with a convicted sex offender, the Shannon/Thompson family seems to be coming apart at the seams.
The family of 9-year-old pageant star Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson saw their reality show vanish and their names splashed all over the tabloids when photos surfaced last week of the family’s matriarch spending time with Mark McDaniel, a man who molested Shannon’s 20-year-old daughter Anna Cardwell. He was recently released from jail after he served time for aggravated child molestation...article

You cannot make this stuff up, if you did, no one would believe you! Even I am out of snark filled insults to toss at this growing madness. Well...maybe I can come up with something.

New Clue in Amelia Earhart Search

For years, private researchers have looked for clues to the mystery of pioneer aviator Amelia Earhart's disappearance over the Pacific in 1937. Now, one piece of fuselage metal may confirm her last location...continue reading

Faked death nets Georgia man 30 years`

(Reuters) - A former Georgia bank director who faked his own death and disappeared for 1-1/2 years while under suspicion of embezzling and losing millions of dollars was sentenced on Tuesday to 30 years in prison.
Aubrey Lee Price, 48, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge B. Avant Edenfield in Statesboro, Georgia, after pleading guilty in June to bank, wire and securities fraud...story

(Joshua Lowther, a lawyer for Price, did not immediately respond to requests for comment.)

I can`t say that I blame him...with a client like that, what can you say! If this moron had put as much effort into faking his death as he did to swindling old people out of their hard earned retirement funds he wouldn`t be headed to prison.

Rocket Disaster Yields Clues...

Wallops Island,Virginia...After four successful launches of the original design of the Antares/ Cygnus configuration for Orbital Sciences` commercial spacecraft program, a new and improved model known as the Barack-a-rocket, ended in disaster last night just seconds into it`s maiden flight. Developed under strict guidelines set forth by the Obama administration, the rocket was said to weigh twice as much, carry half the payload, and cost six times the amount of the previous version. The President was quick to place blame for the mishap on a supposed grainy You-Tube video that reportedly showed John Boehner and Mitch McConnell running from the area of the rocket just moments before the failed launch. The suspects were rumored to be carrying a monkey wrench and large hammer!

What`s wrong with a little political rocket explosion humor? At least no one got killed in the calamity!

And who said the wild west was ancient history?

'There goes Honey Boo Boo'...Could 'Mama June' lose custody?

"Generally speaking, when we receive a report that children are living around a sex offender ... it would certainly rise to the level of concern of us looking into it," Susan Boatwright, a representative of Georgia's Division of Family and Child Services...

This sad saga is beginning to take on a life of its own. Like a hideous monster that oozes out from the depths of a nightmare and crawls under ones bed and refuses to go away. Just when you think it cannot get any worse, it does. Actually it is to the point now of being dangerous as more evidence of the alleged lucid affair between 'Mama June' and the recently paroled Mark McDaniel, the man who raped her then 8 yr old daughter and spent the last ten years in prison, comes to light.  Exposing children to a sexual predator is not looked upon as providing a healthy environment. The only way it could become more disgusting would be if somehow Kim Kardashian became involved.

Orbital Science will make first night launch at 6:45 p.m. EDT Tonight...

The third of eight supply missions for Orbital Sciences` Cygnus unmanned capsule will launch tonight from Wallops Flight Facility under a $1.9 billion contract with NASA. On-board the craft will be be an assortment of vital supplies, totaling some 5,000 plus pounds. Food, tools, and replacement parts, as well as science experiments, make up the bulk of the cargo. The Cygnus will ride atop an Antares rocket for the scheduled 6:45 p.m. EDT launch. Weather conditions are looking favorable and launch operations are proceeding as planned.

Tough Week for 'Mama June'...

Mama June looks none to pleased after having a horrible week. Her television show 'Here comes Honey Boo Boo', that netted her a cool 150,000 an episode, was canceled after allegedly having an affair with the recently paroled child rapist that had assaulted her own daughter... but it gets worse. Not only her poor choice in men have doomed her, rumors persist that her restaurant, 'Cornbread and Taters', is in dire financial difficulties and late Friday Sweetroll, Al. demanded a return of the ceremonial 'Key to the City' they had presented to her at the fall Turnip festival where she was recently crowned 'Ms. Sweetroll 2014'! My calls requesting comment for this post went unreturned!

UPDATE...This week dosen`t seem to be getting any better as it has just been confirmed that the 'Jogging with June' 5k run scheduled for this upcoming weekend has been cancelled.

Washington School Shooting Claims Third Victim

MARYSVILLE, Wash. (AP) -- A 14-year-old girl who was wounded when a student opened fire inside a Washington state high school has died, raising the death toll in the shooting to three.
Gia Soriano (pictured below) died Sunday night, more than two days after she was shot, officials at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett said.
"We are devastated by this senseless tragedy," her family said in a statement, read at a news conference by Dr. Joanne Roberts. "Gia is our beautiful daughter, and words cannot express how much we will miss her."...continue

The insanity of this boggles the mind. A 14 year old, happy go lucky teenager, heads off for a Friday at school with her friends and never comes home. Murdered by a disturbed young man for no other reason then he could not deal with his own emotional insecurities. A young life cut short and a family destroyed and left with a wound that will never fully heal...why? It is always 'why' that we are left with...

Florida man defends self against bear breaking into his home

ORLANDO Fla. (Reuters) - A Florida man shot and killed a 400-pound (180-kg) black bear after it broke into his house two nights in a row to get to a bag of dog food, a state wildlife officer said on Friday.
"I felt in danger enough that since it wouldn't leave I had to shoot it," said Victor Peters of Lady Lake of the Wednesday night incident in a video interview posted online by the Orlando Sentinel.
Killing a bear in Florida is illegal. Wildlife officer Greg Workman of the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation said he expects to hand the case to prosecutors by early next week for their consideration at the completion of his investigation...Continue to article here.

It might well be illegal to kill a bear, but when it is breaking into my home for the 'second' night in a row, I will take my chances with a jury.

Saturday...'YAY'!

Saturday morning...always a good time for some 'Black Keys'.

135,890-foot sky dive sets new world record

ROSWELL, N.M. –  Google executive Alan Eustace broke the sound barrier and set several skydiving records over the southern New Mexico desert early Friday after taking a big leap from the edge of space.
Eustace's supersonic jump was part of a project by Paragon Space Development Corp. and its Stratospheric Explorer team, which has been working secretly for years to develop a self-contained commercial spacesuit that would allow people to explore some 20 miles above the Earth's surface.

WOW...This came as a shock. Most thought the record of 128,100` set by Felix Baumgartner in 2012, would stand as long, if not longer, then the previous record had stood of 102,800` set 52 years earlier by Joe Kittinger in 1960. The NY Times has a great article 'here' with video of the event. The most amazing aspect was there was no capsule, Alan dangled under the balloon in a special space suit during the whole two plus hour ascent to altitude, like I said...WOW!

Iranian Leader... Obama 'Weakest U.S. President in History'

Adviser to Iranian president mocks Obama’s ‘humiliating’ presidency

The Iranian president’s senior adviser has called President Barack Obama “the weakest of U.S. presidents” and described the U.S. leader’s tenure in office as “humiliating,” according to a translation of the highly candid comments provided to the Free Beacon.

------------
The former head of Iranian intelligence and present senior adviser to President Hassan Rouhani, Ali Younesi, does not seem to be too concerned with the diplomatic approach when giving his opinion of our current Commander-in-chief. You would be safe to assume these are no 'off the cuff' remarks by an 'adviser', but reflect the view of the Iranian Government. This assessment of the president is not limited to the Iranians, though most governments keep their displeasure with Obama more under the diplomatic radar. A vast majority of world leaders view the president as indecisive and untrustworthy, and any fear of the 'most powerful man' on earth has long since dissipated, from both friend and foe alike. It appears the only people left who fear the president are Americans.

Ebola in the Big Apple?

Doctor who treated Ebola victims in Guinea in isolation at New York City`s Bellevue Hospital with Ebola symptoms...

The condition of Dr. Craig Spencer, who recently returned from Guinea after working with a team that treated victims in the outbreak of the deadly disease in the west African nation, were described as Ebola like in nature. Suffering from nausea and a fever of 103, he was quickly placed in an isolation unit as a precaution as test results for the highly contagious disease were expected to be at least 12 hours from completion. Reports of the Doctor being in a public setting at a bowling alley on Wednesday, are setting off alarm bells as health officials scramble to contact anyone who may have came into contact with the Doctor in the recent days. Hopefully the tests will prove negative, but at this point, it does not look good!

UPDATE...Worst fears confirmed. Doctor tests positive for Ebola!
