After two weeks of political conventions, murder headlines, and the constantly depressing news of the state of America, a personal story of a dedicated hard worker who took pride in her job for over seven decades with the same employer is a refreshing read.
"At her retirement, Syracuse looked back on her career and ascribed her success to one of the most important of career accomplishments -- contentment." She was happy, she found fulfillment, she accomplished what so few of today`s members of society find, inner peace. The 'me generation' constantly seek something better, more gratification, a never ending desire for greener pastures, a quest that denies, by it`s very nature, it`s own success.
