Did airstrikes hit ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi?

BAGHDAD (AP) -- Iraqi officials said Sunday that an airstrike wounded the leader of the Islamic State group, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Pentagon officials said they had no immediate information on such a strike or al-Baghdadi being wounded.

Conflicting reports suggest no one knows with any certainty if the ruthless jihadi mastermind was killed, wounded, or even present, when the U.S. led airstrikes hit the town of Qaim on Friday. It would be a major blow to the Islamic State if their elusive leader had indeed been killed. al-Baghdadi has taken a local branch of Al Qaeda and turned it into an army of evil the likes of which the modern world has never seen.
